Connect Groups

We were made for community.

God created us for community. It’s where we find connection, belonging, support, and people who can walk alongside us as we grow in faith. But this kind of community doesn’t just happen. We have to be intentional and create room for it in our lives.

This fall, there are several opportunities for community here at Providence. And one new way we hope to foster this kind of community is by inviting you to explore Connect Groups.

What are Connect Groups?

Connect Groups are short-term small groups that meet over a couple months to build friendships and grow in faith together. Groups typically consist of around 5-12 people and are often co-ed and life stage specific. They’re a great way to explore if being in a long-term Life Group is the next step for you.

Each Connect Group will meet for 5 sessions. But we want to help groups get started so the first one will be at our Connect Group Kick Off Night, October 5. At this night, we’ll provide an easy-to-use guide for your meetings together as well as have some fun! After that, groups will meet on their own for 4 more gatherings. At the end, you’ll decide together whether to continue or wrap up. It’s our hope that some groups will stay together, but whatever you choose, we trust that you’ll have made some deeper friendships and experienced meaningful conversations that encourage you on your faith journey.

Ready to try a Connect Group? Here’s how to get started:

Now through September 28, fill out a quick online form to help us place you in a group. Want to join with a friend or another couple? Or start your own group? There’s a spot on the form to let us know.

Group Formation

The week of September 28, we’ll organize the groups and send out your group info.

Connect Night on October 5

Join us for Connect Night Kick Off on October 5 from 6:00 - 7:30 – an upbeat evening designed to help groups get started together. We’ve done the prep work so you can jump right in with a simple, ready-to-go plan for your weeks together.

Meet on your own

After Connect Night, your group will meet on your own for 4 more sessions, using the simple guide we provide. It’s designed to help you get to know each other and spark meaningful conversations about being disciples of Jesus.

Decide what’s next

After your 4 meetings, your group can decide whether to continue meeting or wrap up. Either way, we hope you’ll have experienced deeper friendships and Christ-centered conversations.
