Baptism & profession of faith

Baptism is a tangible representation of the forgiveness and new life we have in Christ. We refer to it as a ‘means of grace’ which simply means it’s about God’s first work in our lives. It’s a remembrance of the promise he made to Abraham and his descendants that if He would ever fail us (which he never will), that he would die for us, and if we fail him (which we continually do) that He would die for us. And God made good on that promise in Jesus Christ and his work on the cross. Just as water washes away dirt from the body, so too does the blood of Jesus wash away all my sins.

Genesis 15; Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38, 22:16; Romans 6:3-4; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Titus 3:5; 1 Peter 3:21

WE BELIEVE IN profession of faith

Profession of Faith is when those who have been baptized into the promises of God fully accept the promises of God as their own. It is the response that someone fully, personally, and publicly accepts in light of God’s saving grace in their life. Profession of faith is a public declaration of affirming God’s saving work and letting the church and the world know one’s decision to a lifelong commitment of being a disciple of Jesus Christ.

John 3:16; Acts 16:30-31; Romans 10:9-11
