The KINGdom Story will help you understand the heart of God and His activity in the world as it is woven throughout all of the Bible.  You will read 100 stories, 50 from the Old Testament and 50 from the New Testament, digging into their meaning and applying them to your own life. By wholeheartedly engaging with the KINGdom Story, you’ll not only gain a greater understanding of the unity of the Biblical text, but  you will come to deeply love the King, and embrace your part in His beautiful story.

Besides engaging in personal study, you will learn from the teaching of David Mosterd as we progress through the KINGdom Story. David will help you see and understand the greater themes woven through Scripture.  There are FIVE special teaching times:

  • Sunday, February 19, 9 & 10:30A
  • Wednesday, February 22, 6:30-7:45P
    Genesis – Joshua
  • Sunday, April 23, 9 & 10:30A
    Judges – Malachi
  • Sunday, June 4, 9 & 10:30A
    Gospels – Acts
  • Sunday, July 9, 9 & 10:30A

Growing in faith is a life-long adventure.  At Providence, we are committed to helping you go deeper in your relationship with Jesus Christ.   We offer opportunities for growth that are relevant to your life and that connect you more deeply to God, to the community at Providence and to the greater community outside the walls of the church that we wish to serve.  We invite you to get involved in the exciting process of growing your faith by participation in any – or many – of the areas described here.

Small Groups

If you are looking for a place to connect with others, to grow in your relationship with God and with people, then a small group is just the thing for you!  People in small groups form strong bonds with others that give them strength for life’s storms, wisdom for making important decisions, accountability in their spiritual growth, and true acceptance in the body of Christ.  Become a member of a small group and experience how powerful community can be.  Contact Dawn Bush at 616.396.5661 X.117.

Business Owners Group

Led by Larry Koning, this group meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month, 6:30-7:30 PM, in the church Library.  Come discuss with other business owners how to run your business guided by your faith.

Adult Bible Study

Join other adults as we enjoy a verse by verse study of various portions of Scripture with Pastor Bryan.  Favorite hymns led by Dean Slenk, Director or Worship, warm fellowship – a delightful morning!  We meet on Thursdays from 10-11 AM, October-May.

Start the new year off right!  On Sunday evenings in January we take intentional, special time to focus on spiritual growth.  Through personal daily devotions, small group discussion, and special guest speakers, we grow closer to God and others and learn how to follow Jesus well.  FOCUS culminates on Super Mission Sunday, as we go out into the community to serve.
